Prohibited Activities, Exemptions and Permits (Conservation Authorities Act - Ontario Regulation 41/24)

What you will need

Before beginning your application please ensure you have done the following:

• Reviewed our Permit Fee Schedule. If your proposed works fall within the activities listed under the "Streamlined Review and Approvals" please fill out our Streamlined Permit Application form;
• Ensured your property/area of development falls within our Regulated Area. Property mapping is available if you are unsure; and
• Have all necessary documents on hand and ready to upload.

What is the process

The online permit application process should take approximately 20 minutes to complete.

The application is broken down into the following steps:

Please do not fill out this online application for any of the following requests:

• Permit renewals, extensions or alterations/updates
• Permits for works with our municipal partners
• Large fill permits
• Any permit that requires approval from our Board of Directors
